New Flintshire and Denbighshire small loan scheme announced

New for 2020 Conditional Grants available to small charities and sports associations for up to £750

The Ten Percent Foundation is responsible for distributing the donations made by the Ten Percent Group of companies; small businesses in a group with a clear approach to business ethics and donating 10% of their profits to charity every year since 2000. To date we have given away over £115k to charities in the UK and Africa with a number of charities and sports clubs in Denbighshire and Flintshire benefiting from small grants. These have included Clwyd Riding for the Disabled, Mynydd Isa & Maeshafn Cricket Club, Flying High Trampoline Club in Denbigh, Halkyn Cricket Club, Northop Hall Girls & Ladies FC and others.

At our recent trustee meeting we decided to set up a small conditional grants scheme which will be accessible to charities and sports clubs in Flintshire and Denbighshire, the local authority areas closest to our head office. This will enable charities and sports clubs to apply for conditional grants of up to £750 towards particular items of equipment. The condition will be that if the item of equipment is sold or disposed of within a certain period of time (which will vary according to the piece of equipment in question but likely to be 5 or 10 years) the proceeds will need to be proportionately returned to the Ten Percent Foundation.
